Also once you get past that South Rd intersection, biking past Market Reserve is also a nightmare. I had to stop several times as cars and buses gave me no room to get past the parked cars
Path along the Oval isn’t def a better option

I bike to work along King Edward and originally was going that way as crossing to the shared cycle/pedestrian path so close to the bend at the Kensington seemed risky. I hated that intersection! Fraught every time. Crossing to the path now although exiting at top of the Oval isn’t fun either

My son started at a decile 3 school.
