I’m so glad I read and watched all the scary animal things. I think it helped define my sense of justice and right and wrong. That the world can be horrifying and to cherish the mundane. It may be why I like vegetables so much. Eating lettuce as a kid like it was going out of business.

When I was in first grade I really hated school. Like so much. I found every four leaf and higher clover and wished not to go to school and ate them all for their power. The next day I was very sick for some mysterious reason and didn’t have to go to school. I thought I’d found a real wish!

Read Abby Howard’s The Crossroads at Midnight and I’m gonna be jumpy for awhile. Really fun and creepy, but pure devilishness for an overactive imagination.
