It’s great! The Tunic songs are killer too. No letter for me unfortunately, and annoyingly I’ve lost the liner notes, which if I remember rightly were a small booklet, but it’s such a treat to listen to these songs again.
Record of the day is the 4x4 compilation on Up Records from (I think) 1995/6.
Four tracks each by Appendix Out, Tunic, Kilgore Trout and Brewster, and showcasing Alasdair Roberts at his most indie rock. A true fan favourite (for this fan)

Both killer eps. Halfway to a Threeway gets a lot of airtime in this house and it’s nice to be reminded of how great the All Most Heaven 12” is.

Ugandan lukeme player Ekuka Morris Sirikiti’s first studio album on Nyege Nyege Tapes is crucial stuff. It’s simultaneously urgent and hypnotic, and utterly, utterly beautiful.
