Today I'm mad, and sad, and trying to process the fact that there are a lot of unknowns happening around me, but it's new years eve and so in a few hours I take a deep breath and embrace 2026.

The thing I've noticed from the stories is a trajectory. The character is so often on an intentional path that is more distinct in DP stories than other places. I also get a very.... ancestral vibe from them a lot!
Long time since I released a big beast into the wild but here is The Future Is Me, told from NHS waiting rooms during the peak of the AIDS epidemic. The siblings are my most Northumbrian characters though a Colombian walked in from nowhere and kidnapped the story.

No, seriously though. Jaime writes a lot of really great stories, but this one stuck with me and is one of the few where I was strongly compelled to reach out to an author after the first read and gush and share with him how it affected me. And that was in beta. I can only sit in awe at the talent.
