So far Jennie Gow on BBC and the Autosport team align most with my views and feelings on it - a lot of people wonβt like it because it new or they donβt understand. And the racing is no more βartificialβ (whatever that is) than previous rules at worst
Have finished my usual rotation of post race podcasts - dissapointed in some of them as I donβt understand the viewpoints about the racing/cars
βGetting to within a second of the car in front and then pushing a button to breeze past is not overtakingβ - thatβs exactly what happened before with DRS?
Just watched the #F2 sprint race. Throughly enjoyed that, some great racing.
Noel Leon is one that caught my eye, though mostly because his name is a palindrome
Waiting until the fuel stops then jumping them in the pits?
Seeing a lot of complaints that the Aus GP wasnβt the right type of racing and I genuinely donβt understand - can someone explain to me what βrealβ or βpureβ racing is? #f1
In its natural habitat.
All good here, got NASCAR showing for later - Iβll give Dave a nudge for you
I won an award at work. Instead of it motivating me I have started doing less. Obviously I worked too hard and I'm now trying to find the right level between working and not getting fired.
F1 timing tower showing Alonso gap as +15mins to the next car.
I enjoyed it so much I took a snap.
I bet it does! Takes commitment to be an Aus based F1 fan πππ»
Great race that.
Controlled race from George, with a good drive from Kimi just behind.
Lewis has his mojo back, he hasnβt lost anything.
Brilliant debut from Linblad - points and put Lawson firmly in the shade. Heβs my driver of the day I think.

Was reserving judgement on these rules/cars until after a race - and I am positively encouraged based on the sample size of one. Iβve not thought about super clipping at all, and the cars seem raceable, with overtaking possible.

Hello my old friend #f1 #ausgp
There is something special - and right - about getting up when itβs still dark for the first race of a new #F1 season #ausgp
Utterly confused by this in The Range - thatβs just taken a fantasy livery to the next level hasnβt it? #F1
Do they have deploy like they do, or could they deploy at a slower rate but for longer and not need to βsuper clipβ? And itβs just theyβve worked out itβs faster over a lap to dump and clip?
My timeline has gone from Villa fans being miserable about results to F1 fans being miserable about the new cars
Aston Martin Racing and excessive vibrations - name a more iconic duo.

Thank God we donβt let Cadillac in incase they made a mockery of the sport with their performance #f1
That was a great race! And not only did 23XI make it 3 in a row, Reddick became the first ever driver to win 3 in a row to start a season. Incredible! #nascar
Boring #IndyCar race.
Time for #NASCAR - no secret that Iβm a fan of COTA, and I love a good NASCAR race anyway, so looking forward to this. Hopefully 23XI can make it 3 from 3.
Jameis Winston keeping it interesting on the interviews though.
I enjoy #IndyCar because Iβm a racing junkie, but it is very much background racing for me these days, and I can see why people turn off.
I have nothing against domination, but Palou is so clearly ahead of the field itβs not even funny. And as for driving round in 15 year old cars..
At least we ainβt Spurs.
This was trying to remove the wiper arm. The actual tool meant for the job wasnβt doing it. After an hour I gave up doing it properly. Several swift hits later and it was off.
The actual teaching was βSometimes, Uncle Matt is right: if all else fails, hit it with a hammerβ
My daughter doing some bolts up on a Honda CRV
Finally a dry day so that I could sort the broken wiper motor on the Honda (irony not lost on me)
Had a helper who absolutely loved it. She learnt two important lessons:
1) put your tools back where you got them from
2) if all else fails, whack it with a hammer.
