Pokemon Pokopia does a fantastic job of telling a story passively. Between the environmental cues and human historical logs you find... Topping it off with where this takes place is all just the best. This game is a real treat all around, even if you don't know anything about Pokemon.
Started up this week. Very walkable neighborhood. Good way to touch grass and breathe fresh air a bit more.
Rare's Kinect Sports immediately comes to mind. That studio got done so dirty by MS.
Dragon Age is also a painful one lost to publisher shenanigans... And Bioware as a whole for that matter. Their mech based Destiny was so unfortunate

Pokopia supports physical media in game as it mentions music streaming services all died due to server costs. Ironic given it's only available on a key card cartridge.

This is way more in line with Ridge Racer or Daytona or Cruisin'. The only difference is the open world setting and fidelity. Go play GT and then this and you'll realize that's the case.
It controls nothing like real cars. You're focusing on surreal setting, which has nothing to do with the mechanics of the game which dictate if it's a sim. No one in their right mind would call this a sim. It's not a cartoon, but it controls and handles like an arcade racer. More so than Cruisn

Feels more to me like it was a stopgap for them while PS5 install base was too small to justify their dev budgets. Now that's no longer a need they're pulling back. They mentioned Yotei exceeding expectations and carrying their FY, so that was likely an indicator no need to diversify anymore.

Well Resi 8 was 80% PS, so it's safe to say PC and Xbox will be the bottom piece of that pie. Steam peaked under 350k concurrent. So really it's how much was PS and how much was Sw2. Capcom never releases specifics though because to them a sale is a sale.

Enjoyed Hades. Did the 10 runs for the story. Will never play again. Games that run on a loop I will also play all day... Every day... I need a clear cut end point otherwise I just stay on that treadmill. It's why I don't play Splatoon, Fortnite, Balatro, Stardew Valley, Slay the Spire, etc.

But you were alive at that time. No one buys or plays it anymore that hasn't already. So now it just lives up on a pedestal where everyone acknowledges it was a great RPG, yet they aren't experiencing it. No one under 30 cares about it, they just see it on lists and move on. That sucks IMO.
