Happy International Women’s Day to all of those trying to dismantle systems of oppression.
Wishing time to rest on those who are so tired. Stepping back is allowed, and necessary in campaigning.

I will be on lbc in a few minutes discussing the safety of women and girls five years on from what happened yo Sarah Everard.
There is a vigil for Sarah Everard tomorrow in Clapham for the fifth anniversary.
I will not be in attendance and will be honouring Sarah in my own way.
Let us remember all women tomorrow, who have died at the hands of men, and all people who have been subject to police violence.
Request for a space!
Do you have a space that a feminist organisation can use for international womens day?
Please message me if you’re able to help support!
I’ll be on time radio today at around 1:30pm talking about the systems that allow abusive men to stay in powerful positions.

Pointless comment in important conversations.
I’ll be on radio 4 at about 8:30 talking about women who push for change.

“When women report abuse and violence and are dismissed or brushed aside, it feeds the dangerous narrative that it’s somehow our fault. Women like Nina Cresswell have stood firmly against that narrative and spoken out. That’s so brave.” – @patsystevenson.bsky.social

When I say I hate men I’m not talking about Connor Storrie or Hudson Williams
It is but it’s worse, ICE have the power to racially profile anyone of colour and harm them. We also don’t know whats being done behind closed doors, hearing JD vance talk about then having ‘immunity’ almost speaks for itself. Fuck ICE. Much worse than British fuckwit police.
Online: an unprecedented challenge 1. To ensure online spaces are safe, especially for children and young people, we will: a) Build on the Online Safety Act to make the UK the safest place for children online, and one of the hardest places for children to access harmful content. We will work with industry to improve uptake and ease of use of parental controls and to strengthen the protections they offer. We will also build international partnerships with like-minded partners to tackle this global issue together... e) Ban nudification apps and other tools designed to create synthetic non- consensual intimate images (NCII), to stop women and girls’ images being tampered with and exploited without their consent. This will target the firms and individuals providing and supplying such tools.
Can you confirm @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social whether Labour's ban on 'nudification' apps will extend to Grok, please?
In 2026 I will be available again for guest lectures and collaborations with universities, workshops and key notes!

We had a great chat on LBC earlier with Molly Hanning from Academics Against Assault, Sharon Gaffka and Shelagh Fogerty about the strategy and answered some of the callers questions. Thank you to everyone who called in and thank you to LBC and Shelagh for having us on the show.
Government needs to listen to survivors, campaigners and also provide better funding for organisations who already do the work to combat Male Violence Against Women and Girls.
It definitely feels like an after thought, and though we try to remain hopeful, a lot of campaigners know that promises alone are not enough. We need to see real change and for this strategy to be revised and edited as we move forward.
Today the government announced their strategy on combating Male Violence Against Women and Girls.
They released it on the day that parliament finishes for the year, after delaying it multiple times.
Great interview with @patsystevenson.bsky.social
Wilfred Frost got defensive and dismissive - perhaps revealing his privilege?
Sadly, after the intro, Sophy Ridge @sophyridge.bsky.social only spoke once, for just 4s 🫠 "I think she's arguing against the women-only carriages."
Full clip ⏩ 2h30m30s:
“The issue is men. So maybe we need a man only carriage where we put them all in the back of the train and they can just stay there and harass each other": @patsystevenson.bsky.social on the money, as always.
I ❤️ the brilliant @patsystevenson.bsky.social.
