Ever since I upgraded to Tahoe, Apple Music isn't allowing me to play songs that have already been released in pre-release albums (if you see what I mean). If I add them to a playlist, I can play them. But not within the album itself, even if the song has been released. Any ideas?
Si quelqu'un souhaite le publier en français, j'en serais ravi !
It was incredibly hard to get it down to 20 and even now I look back on it and think that song X should really have played a much larger role. If it sells well maybe I will go back for 20 more! or 50, as you say.
thank you! She really is. Fascinating too.
On this weekβs newsletter, βA musician and a poetβ - 20 minutes with Marie Davidson, in which we speak about Clown bangers, Surveillance Capitalism, squaring dystopia with humour and much more. linenoise.substack.com/p/a-musician...
nah the quality is pretty bad, sadly. If you have a poke around the Daft Punk Reddit you can find links.
this is a fantastic book, do please read it!
OK I have listened to Mrs. GREEN APPLE @musically.com and suffice to say it's not exactly my thing. But, erm, good luck to them and all.
this is a great record!

I have a friend who lives in cava country and he always tells me this. Also, he has given me some amazing cavas.
Drink cava instead! Prosecco isn't even made with the mΓ©thode champenoise. Good cava is absolutely amazing, although you do have to dig deep in the UK.
Listening to the Thomas Bangalter x Fred Again set. 20 minutes in and we've already had Purcell, One More Time / Aint No Mountain High Enough, Hackney Parrot, Rollinβ and Scratchinβ, Spinal Scratch / Renegade Master, Cubik, LFO and Crescendolls. I need a lie down just looking at it.
hooray! I can't wait to read it. For me you're 2 for 2 in the excellent books stakes
ha!!!!! Honestly, I can't. I've listened to far too much trance in my life!!! But thank you
of course you may! Very welcome. Do you have a favourite song?
Today on the Substack, I battle my way between U2, Bruce, Springsteen, the trance revival and the wonders of aging. βI sometimes wonder if the whole process of cultural aging involves getting into music I hated as a teenagerβ¦β linenoise.substack.com/p/between-u2...
that, my friend, is a very nice T-shirt. Olympically lush.
do you know what, it was probably a dumb thing to say because I don't want to say who the artist is, as I really love them, but then why say anything at all?
I reviewed the new Nathan Fake album for @pitchfork.com. "Itβs an episode of Friends with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream, a familiar joy that wonβt trouble the palate. But the recordβs first-thought-best-thought spontaneity comes at the expense of ambition." pitchfork.com/reviews/albu...
One of my favourite modern artists has teamed up with an avant-garde legend to cover one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands and it totally sucks! Funny how music works some times.
thank you Teresa B! Slightly awkward at first, maybe, but I think we soon settle into it.

On the Substack this week, an interview with the legendary Karl Bartos (for those who donβt like podcasts) in which he definitively answers the question of who is better: The Beatles or Kraftwerk. linenoise.substack.com/p/everybody-...
I reviewed the new Beach Boys box set for @pitchfork.com. "there is enough of the Beach Boysβ singular geniusβperhaps the expression in pop of a musical mind pulled to and fro by the heavy weathers of psychological tormentβto deliver." pitchfork.com/reviews/albu...
My guest this week on the Line Noise podcast @radioprimavera.bsky.social is none other than Karl Bartos. We talk about leaving Kraftwerk, The Beatles, getting away from computers, guitars, Johnny Marr, remixing Planet Rock, the Telephone Call, Esperanto + so much more. soundcloud.com/line-noise-p...
