Did you know preemie babies DO feel pain, and they may actually experience it more intensely than full-term babies, because their inhibitory pain pathways are immature.
So keep that in mind always as you care for those little ones.

Love this story. I still remember having a sad situation like this with twins, and mom did not make it. Talking to the father was one of the hardest things I had ever done. Great miracle
It still blows my mind that giving 900 breaths a minute to a less than 1lb baby is "gentle." Incredible!
