I can’t see a #nufc win tonight I’m afraid. You have two teams on very different trajectories. Man Utd only have the PL to worry about, we have the City & Barcelona games right around the corner. Those make or break our season imo. No Bruno either. It’s another painful loss.

His reputation is built on being a superb coach and man manager. He’s always concerned about player welfare etc. Which is why players like to play for him I guess. It’s also his biggest weakness tho as (like you say) he struggles to cut declining players loose quickly enough.

I think a lot of it will come down to that disaster transfer window and who PIF blame for it. If Howe was front and centre on the Wissa, Woltemade & Elanga deals then he could be in trouble. I hope he gets time but this is football.

Our PL form could be the end for Howe. It’s so bad that he may now need to win either the FA cup or the CL to keep his job…unless we have a late surge up the league. It’s similar to the big Ange situation at Spurs but there’s a catch - we aren’t winning the CL & we have Man City in the FA cup. #nufc

I can see why they signed him but the fee was ridiculous for a player of that age and contract situation. Even the goals that he has scored were just wild ricochets off his shins. It all leads back to the mismanagement of the Isak situation.

They’ll have to made a decision in the summer, which will be to either back Woltemade and build a squad around him or sell him at a loss. I just don’t see Howe changing his playing style to suit one player. It really was a disaster of a summer window.

He’s a good player but we aren’t set up for him and never will be. He was a panic buy, no idea who signed off on it but I doubt it was Howe. Wissa is the more damaging deal as he’s clearly garbage and will have no value. Osula is also awful.
