And all these years I thought it was for amyl nitrite party packs - hence the popular term “poppers”.
@mrtoads
Grouchy old fart, enjoys books, birds, baroque music, alliteration and, of course, spiders (but then, who doesn’t?). Semi-skilled at a number of unimportant things like game-playing, computer surgery and natural history story-telling. Lazy.
And all these years I thought it was for amyl nitrite party packs - hence the popular term “poppers”.
Nobody’s as fanatical as a convert.
Remember who’s behind him, propping him up with money and assistance. Just like he’s been doing with Orban and Farage and the French fascists and the AfD and undoubtedly plenty more.
So many of us are reflexively competitive about really ridiculous things.
Not necessarily more honest in general, but directed toward us, absolutely.
It would be for the best. Men who agonize over their tiny penises are the cause of most of our problems.
Baloney.
You have no idea how anyone feels about you based on mood.
Don’t trust depression - it lies.
You listen to the music you like, and so do we all. The music doesn’t make us be one way or another; it affects us, but the feelings are there without the music.
You’re not an idiot - you’re you.
I thought it was automatically Obama’s fault. Maybe he can’t remember that far back any more.
More to the point, he’s surrounded by people who will happily take care of that for “The Godfather”.
When two people want to try to create a family, who am I to say they can’t? That would be extraordinarily arrogant and presumptuous of me, or anyone. I bridled when my parents tried to talk me out of marrying my wife, and their judgement was as wrong as mine would likely be toward anyone else.
Of course.
Exciting!
His “audacity”. Some would call it “dementia”.
I don’t believe it.
Using the politics of resentment to hoodwink people who are desperate to believe his lies. He’s counting on the well-established fact that a lot of us are willfully gullible.
Cutting taxes only hurts the people whose taxes pay for services that help them. It really helps the people whose taxes are siphoning off all our money into their pockets - it means they never have to put it back into circulation where it helps everyone.
It has usually worked, up to now. If nobody fights back with “counterprogramming”, it probably will again.
It will last until we all find a way to enforce our laws instead of being passive onlookers. Everyone who can vote must vote, for a start. None of this high-minded “Oh, she supports [this] and I could never vote for that”. Your refusal to vote helped give us this. Hope the Gazans appreciate it.
Reminds me of something - my wife keeps talking about what women want, when in every case she means what she wants. That presumably doesn’t apply here, but generalizing from one sample is GIGO. I don’t know why she does it, but we can accept our wants are important without making them universal.
I have a rather literal mind myself, so yes.
It’s never hard to find completely unironic examples of It’s Always Projection with these clowns.
Well, actually *ahem*, bronze-cut is all very good in its way, but for true excellence, one really must search out proper obsidian-blade sliced spaghetti. Once you go black, you never go back.
I think the big mistake the late Ayatollah made (if this had been a real thing and not the usual GOP “we’re the Real Victims!” lie) was that he tried to make it a secret attempt. If he’d asked, so, so many people would have bent over backwards to help.
How can antisemitism be racism? Are Israelites a „race“? Are Jews a „race“? And what are Semites? Aren’t Palestinians Semites as well?
The whole thing strikes me as the worst sort of human „If I do it to you, it’s fine, but if you do it to me, it’s heinous!“ stupidity.
We’re all humans.
I have no idea where that ridiculous “link” came from, but my basic understanding of human nature is that all these various tribal “-isms” are simply pre-human animal instincts that many of us simply are too lazy to fight. We all have them, even the preening “anti-racists”. We just excuse our own.
You raise an interesting point - I’m constantly confused by the various uses of the term “racism”. It’s applied in a variety of ways where there seems to be no “race” involved, but when I ask for definitions, the usual response is mouth-frothing hostility. I guess it usually means “tribalism”.
DC is by far the worst I’ve ever driven in. NYC is sort of fun but confrontational, NJ is homicidal on a good day, New England is simply insane, but DC is all those things dialed up to 11, with a big chunk of Florida free-form and wall to wall cars on top.
You can’t shame the shameless.
Anyone still able to rent themselves to the ETLNYT is presumably shameless.
Confirmation that Ukraine is advancing.
He wants more money
