That said, the rest looked great and I am looking forward to Prime 4. Just I am skeptical about the new bike stuff. I hope my gut feeling turns out to be wrong!

I’m not a fan of the look of the bike and I worry that shoehorning some open world stuff into Metroid may not be a good move for the series. I feel like either the open world part will be very thin or it will come at the cost of the intricate level design, much like Prime 3’s multiple planets did.

That stretch of 84 is just gorgeous. Drove it a few months ago. The gorge looks like a train set diorama and the rest is exactly as you described.
