Yesterday we gathered outside the bargaining session with the UConn for a work-in to stand in solidarity for GA rights. We are in the depths of negotiations and demand to be heard! GAs deserve more! In these moments we remember the history of our union and we refuse to go back.
Come to the work-in this Thursday in Wilbur Cross from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM to keep fighting for strong protections for international GA’s and sign on to the petition to keep ICE out of UConn to keep all of us safe on campus (link in bio).

Our current contract includes a childcare reimbursement fund, but it hasn't been increasing yearly to keep up with inflation. Meanwhile, childcare costs keep climbing. We need an increased fund to account for the real costs of childcare and better supports working families.
We’re done settling for less than we deserve. We know what our work is worth and this campaign is about securing it.

Meet Our Bargaining Committee! Anne is a second-year PhD student in the Marine Sciences Department at Avery Point.
She started union involvement as a steward because she felt her campus needed more union representation. She has since become our union’s Grievance Coordinator!

Kicking off the semester strong! We had fun tabling and talking with everyone earlier this week, and we’re excited to gear up with lots of buttons for a semester of bargaining and increased union visibility on campus!
Meet Our Bargaining Committee! Olivia is a GA in the Natural Resources department working on a project about human-carnivore interactions in urban areas.
Outside of bargaining, they serve as co-chair of our Grievance Committee!
This past Monday we held our annual Steward Assembly! We’re proud to have over 30 stewards dedicated to organizing across our districts, and this assembly was a great opportunity to connect, reflect, and prepare as we enter a new semester of this contract campaign together.
