SkarsgΓ₯rds touch nothing bad. Honestly, I thought Depp played the role well. But it could be just because Iβm comparing the acting in this to Reaves and Ryder (they both got better).
I donβt get the hate that Nosferatu (2024) received. It was a good version of the story and well-made, with a good cast, solid acting, and some awesome cinematography.
Next Sunday is the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It commemorates the Holy Familyβs obedience to Torah with the BVMβs purification 40 days after the Nativity of Our Lord and the dedication of the first born son at the temple (Lev. 12 and Ex. 13) recorded in Lk. 2.
Me: *thinking my sermon fell completely flat*
Student: I needed to hear what you preached today like ten years ago.
Return of the Tok
TikTok is functioning againβ¦
Lions and TikTok getting taken out on the same night was not what I needed.
What are we supposed to do now? Read books and call people?
I can only assume Clapper canβt keep up with the rapid influx of new users and is experiencing a server overload, because the app will not work at all right now. This is something Bluesky masterfully avoided with those invite codes.
Also, thereβs something twisted about doing this in the winter when SAD is high and you literally canβt touch grass.
Itβs been pulled from the App Store apparently and I guess is displaying the same message.
Ooooβ¦bad news for everyone who migrated from TikTok to Lemon8. It looks like the ban was a buy one get one free deal.
Gentlemen, it has been a privilege playing with you tonight.
I was checking out what they offer at Boston College. Where are you doing this?
It was challenging at times but positive overall. It also helped bring a weighty discernment matter to a conclusion. I intend to take the course in directing the 19th annotation next summer, if admitted. I canβt this summer because of a long absence for another continuing ed opportunity in May.
Oh, yeah. I finished back in May.
Apparently I just made a bunch of friends lose an internet challenge originating in my childhood that I had never heard of.
New Opeth album just dropped the other day. π€
I remember being told not to expect to launch a worship service in the first year. We ended up doing so midway through our first semester and have a small but consistent group of students coming for worship and dinner every Sunday. Godβs pretty cool, guys.
Itβs a wonderful combination of life-long Episcopalians, people who are new to TEC within the past few years, and people who have only really just been introduced to TEC through our campus ministry.
Iβm ecstatic that the students who have been participating in the new campus ministry are ready to turn EpiscopalWVU into an official student org.
A with a side of C. Iβve rarely encountered an Orthodox cleric who does not put the phrase βthe panheresy ofβ before the word βecumenismβ in a sentence. π
So, the girlsβ school does an All Saints costume parade. As is probably self-explanatory, students are supposed to dress up as a saint that day. I asked my daughters what saints they want to dress up as. Both said, without any hesitation, βSt. Michael the Archangel.β My work here is done.
Remember when #gloo launched as part of the #hegetsus campaign as a free way for explorers to connect to faith communities? Remember how they said they had a high value of connecting people who need community with communities near them? Now it apparently costs $49/mo. to connect.
