Another FanArt token mockup. Like so many, I found out about Chappell Roan when Hot to Go! went viral in 2024. One of my favorite costume sets was the Joan of Arc theme she had at the 2024 VMAs. This particular portrait study is based on a concert photo taken by Mike Coppola.
A fanart piece I created based on a photograph by Kelia Anne MacCluskey. It started as a practice study, and I started to think it could make a cool image for a Magic the Gathering token, so I mocked that up as well. I may do a series of these. What musician do you think would make a good token?

The No Kings March in Chicago is one of the largest gatherings Iβve seen here. Looking down from by the river, the crowd stretches for blocks down Michigan Ave and wraps around Wacker Dr. This video is from a few minutes ago and the end of the protest is nowhere in sight.

Portrait painting in a card / frame. The text at the top reads "Elf Warrior" and "1/1" at the bottom. The painting is of an elf with grey hair in a white cloak outfit with gold trim, holding a staff with a gold crescent moon shape on top and a giant red stone.

Started sketching this a few years ago and decided Iβm ready to finish it. I completed the inking tonight and I have lots of details to add in coloring stage. (They are the morning and evening star)
I haven't done it for sale, but Ive definitely made fan art sketches of characters solely from enjoying the character's Aesthetic. Like, I hadn't seen any critical role episodes but I started drawing Jester for myself because I enjoyed seeing some cosplayers I follow dress as her.
Tabled at a local market today.
On my left: a woman selling "original" designed totebags (featuring AI cats).
On my right: "hand burnt wooden artwork" (laser engraved AI images).
Uuuuuugh. π
On top of that I had to listen to them brag to customers about how long it takes to make them.
Article, movie studio Lionsgate is struggling to make AI generated films with partner Runway, their catalog is too small, even Disney's is too small.
Surprise surprise, I've been saying this for years.

you have to admit itβs funny that they cared about the Cracker Barrel logo as long if not longer than this
We are not in a tech race with China. We are sitting down and drinking a Gatorade while China does laps around us with solar innovation and electric vehicles. Dumping everything into "NFTs the Sequel" will not help us.

This is pure laziness. All those WPA posters that this slop is lifting from are in the government archive. They literally could just dig through the stacks of amazing golden age illustrations

This might be my favorite thing Iβve painted to date. I mean, glowy space angel made of stars and nebula stuff, does it get cooler than that?

one-page comic, black and white and grayscale panel 1 : close up of a woman's hand, wearing rings, on an old spellbook page panel 2 : same woman's hands conjuring some black fire panel 3 (big) : woman sitting on the floor where a pentagram is drawn, with skulls and candles, while a tiny demon with horns seems to jump out of the spellbook right on her legs, visibly very happy the woman's wearing converse-like shoes, jeans, a tope revealing her shoulders (and a big tatto on the left one), she has a choker necklace and hair loosely tied into a messy bun text : Look. There's never a perfect time to cast your first spell. Especially as a self-taught witch. Reckless ? Sure. But the truth is... I needed a friend."

Ink drawing of a mermaid sitting atop a perpendicular, tree trunk-like rock in the water. Her long hair trails right down to her seat and obscures her face entirely. Her head is bowed, and there is a strong suggestion that she may be weeping.
An older piece but a perennial favourite.

Nightshade and glazing your art is an option too - it doesn't roll off the tongue as easily
The heavily textured your painting, the better.
Visual artifacts aren't as visible in areas with lighter values - Nightshade and Glaze affects the data in every pixel our naked eyes can't perceive
