I knit. Lots. And design knitting patterns. Obsessed, really. (Also: genealogy, linguistics, SCA, and other general geekery. Plus, I'm a Muppet in human form.) www.wipinsanity.com

Man who wouldnβt wear mask to protect people fine wearing mask to shoot them
My husband buys a hothouse-grown-in-Canada lettuce that's a Boston lettuce. It seems to be available only in winter, but it's reasonably priced and personally, I think it's quite yum. He thinks he gets it at Food Basics?
Gave tickets to hubs and youngest kid as a Christmas present, and then bought one myself so I could tag along. We had a great time!
"A certain car salesman". Love it. And I love what you do!
And also yes, this morning when I woke up I could hear the collection truck coming down our street, which did not have our waste sitting out on the curb.
Scrolled to and watched this WHILE EATING a Ferrero Rocher, so I don't know whether to feel seen or indignant. ;)
99.99% agree with this. The possible exception is when you want to win the World Series in an away game in the face of tens of thousands of fans of a team with a racist name, a racist logo, and whose schtick is doing a racist-AF chant.
Oh. Mah. Gawd.
After such a heinous weekend, here is some visual gorgeousness, in an attempt to lift your day in a very tiny way.
I think you know what I think. :)
Reading Rainbowβ¦ is back! π₯Ή
This LeVar Burton/Reading Rainbow raised human is feeling all of the library joy. We hope your kids believe they belong in books, just like you β¨
Take a look, itβs in a book πππ¦π

Today was *gorgeous*. Why couldn't we have had weather like this for Os and Caitlin's Coronation exactly 29 years ago? It was freezing!
The Fasten Off Yarnalong is an online stitchalong that takes place over about six weeks at the end of each year. We aim to promote indie #knitting and #crochet designers, and give the community a fun time! π§Ά
And right now we're in our volunteer signup period - details below:

I think your ethnic heritage gives you a free pass on the bulghur/lentil salads part.
Oh my heart.
I am IN.
If not, let us weather the storm and make do with other trading partners until new leadership comes in. We will be much better off in the long run.
We voted you in because you seemed to be the candidate who would not screw us by giving in to that man. Please do not break faith with that trust.
Many Canadians such as myself are willing to endure hardships if it means not being dependent on that man and the US economy he is sending into the toilet. Possible exception: if he put up some kind of show of good faith (read: large cash transfer) prior to any agreement being signed.
@mark-carney.bsky.social Mr. Carney, I entreat you to learn the lessons of history, and to be Churchill, not Chamberlain: Any agreement we enter into with Trump is not worth the paper it's printed on. Lying, cheating, and breaking agreements is what he DOES; has done for decades.
Great show. Saw it in Stratford with Colm Feore, Geraint Wyn Davies, and Goldie Semple. Fantabulous.
"Profit is based on turnover. So c'mon! Turn over!"
And then, upon the death of Cicero the bartender:
"He was stabbed through the portico."
"Hey, that's even more painful than the rotunda!"
FANTAAAASTIC. Thank you, both!
Oh, that's great news! Like, a baby could cuddle it kind of soft?
My problem is not that I need a sub for the Sandnes Garn Duo, because it looks like I can actually get my hands on it pretty easily. I just want to know how soft it is. :) yarnsub doesn't seem to have info about how soft a yarn is.
What gets me is that after COUNTLESS shower/rinse/repeat cycles of Trump 1) saying someone's awesome, 2) giving them a job, 3) falling out with them (or they fail out), and finally 4) complaining about their incompetence...that he and his followers CONTINUE TO THINK that he's amazing at staff picks.
I adore Brent. :)
π§ΆYarn fans ( #knitsky, #crochetsky): I'm plotting a knitted gift for a twins-expecting co-worker and am looking for sport/DK weight, machine washable, cotton content, not US-made ( #elbowsUp) with good colour options. Sandnes Garn Duo seems good, but, is it BABY soft? Other suggestions welcome. TIA!
Dunno how many of these are semi-backless, but hopefully there's something at www.fastenoffyal.com/script.cgi?T...
Happy June, everybody. Up with rainbows. Pride is a protest.
