A big part of the problem is actors claim there's "no CGI" in their movies. Tom Cruise did it with Top Gun Maverick, it happened with F1, and many others. It feels like a flex, but it's actually erasing the hard work of hundreds of dedicated artists. Nolan himself will tell you how much CGI he uses

Well, I didn't write the article. A friend did. if I had to answer for myself, it's the ease with which it changes from traditional over the top 80s action movie to something more. I'd liken it to the moment in Invincible where you realize Omni Man isn't a good guy. That's what I think is masterful
Great movie, but in a recent watch, I was kind of astounded at the level of "white savior" happening here. I guess it makes sense considering it's based on the "definitely true" version of events told by the only white guy to survive, lol.
