Ah, heartbreakers, all of them. And the absence of them hits us in weird and unexpected ways. Sending much love and solidarity in your time of loss.

Baked potato, venison sausage, braised red cabbage from the freezer, steamed carrots and kale shoots. Garlic mushrooms as an emergency addition as they were in danger of going slimey.

What do this ancient oak, this swallowtail, this natterjack have in common?

1) They live on Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserves.

2) They benefit from people buying This Wild Dream. ALL profits go to NWT (nothing to me).

Help us celebrate NWT’s centenary TODAY www.thebookhive.co.uk/product/this...

This oil sketch by John William Waterhouse dates from the late 1890s and is most likely a study for Narcissus; 'Echo and Narcissus,' was Waterhouse's major work in the 1903 Royal Academy Exhibition.

Alfred Munnings was associated with the Newlyn School of artists in Cornwall between 1912 and 1914; this painting captures a spring night in the historic fishing village.

Oh, that is sad news. The Lord was a joy on here. Rest in power and peace @cha0tic.bsky.social . #TheArchers gang will be diminished without you.

Much love to everyone who loved him.

Will Self being himself on R4. πŸ™„

What, and I don't say this lightly, an absolute up-his-own-fundament twat.

Comparing himself to Oscar Wilde is only one moment.

Although tbf, his rant on racism in the NHS and other places has some merit.

What you have to be careful of though, is if he escapes the jam jar, there’s a chance he’ll multiply and you’ll end up with an occupying force of really tiny ignorant sociopaths in your carrots.

'Evening, Killarney.' (1941) Speaking to an art critic in the 1930s, Paul Henry said: 'What always strikes me about the Irish landscape is its otherworldliness. There's an air of mystery about it ... you feel that anything may happen round the corner.'

Perfectly lovely, and I wouldn't kick anyone out of bed for eating them but they are 2nd division.

This is my true and right opinion and I will brook no opposition. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 😁
