If this Jason Schrier quote holds water, I imagine that Sony folks think that by scaling back PC releases, people like myself will be forced to buy a Playstation. And I think that's some real dumb executive level nonsense, because the truth is that those people will just stop playing their games.
The second episode of my new podcast The Franchise Doctors is up! We're talking Robocop 2 and it's B-plot about a tween crime kingpin's rise to power.

Hey everyone! I'm going to take 2026 off of Social Media! I will keep messenger installed but I won't have Blue Sky, Facebook, or anything else installed on my phone and the only posts I'll be making here are to let you know about things I made. If you need a way to contact me, comment below!
Entering my manga era. This was a good time!
Bowen Yang leaving SNL is a big loss for them. Oof. I'll be curious to see what he does next though.
I am able to develop end-to-end and meet a deadline. I can do any style of game.
Similarly, if you have a game you'd like developed to spec, I am happy to do that without a license as well. If you have a style of game, set of mechanics, or even just theme you want designed around, let's talk!
If any publisher friends I know have a license or concept they'd like a game for, I have the availability to work on something. I have a proven track record in developing around licenses (Disney Villainous, Godzilla: Tokyo Clash, Marvel Battleworld, Funkoverse, Star War Rivals, etc.)
In an alternate universe that show was put on HBO instead of network TV and ran for five seasons.
See… while I think Resident Evil and Control are gun games, I think Silent Hill and Alan Wake are sword games. While there are guns, the things that stick in my memory are more sword coded.
I was going gum based on the vibes really but you may have convinced me here.
I was looking at my top 20 games of all time and there are four gun games: Persona 5, Silent Hill 2, Starcraft and Tetris. So I think I'd have to go with sword even though I would miss those four games for sure.
Assuming that every video game is a "Gun Game" or a "Sword Game", if you could only play one or the other, which would you choose?
I tried Brandon Sanderson to see what all the fuss is about and it wasn’t for me. Got about 150 pages into The Final Empire and decided I’m good on that. People told me the prose was simple but I wasn’t prepared for just how plain it would be. Also some questionable gender/race stuff…
Top 10 movie of all time for me. I just rewatched it a few weeks ago.
Streaming tonight. Trying to clear out my backlog on Steam.

I cancelled Disney+ and Hulu. I had already cancelled Paramount Plus when Colbert was dropped. I highly recommend doing the same. Come on MAGA, keep saving me money!
The leadership of the Tabletop Game Designers Association was disappointed to see the publisher CGE touting Codenames: Back to Hogwarts, a new Harry Potter-themed version of Codenames.
Keep them for prototyping if they’re general use enough, otherwise I throw them out.
I’m going in on the Raiders as my AFC team to support this year. I’ve always loved the look of the black and silver and their classic logo, and now that they nabbed Pete Carroll and Geno Smith, and just have a very fun seeming roster, I’m taking the plunge.
I’m feeling strangely disenchanted with board games recently. I don’t know that I have the language to fully explain why and I’m hoping that it’s temporary. It does make it easy to compartmentalize my job and have a healthy relationship with my work though.
I have a bunch of lyrics in a notebook somewhere, and a rough instrumental for the track “Murder Death Kill”. That’s about as far as it got.
Hey you all, QueenChanleen is a dear friend of mine and fellow Filipino content creator. She's one of the sweetest people in the world and recently she had to have a heart and lung transplant. If you could please donate or share her Gofundme it would mean a lot. www.gofundme.com/f/help-queen...
I don’t think so. While the worms are big monsters, the movie lacks the use of verticality that I think is actually pretty key to Kaiju. Either through their height, the urban landscape or flying creatures. And when the tremors do get to flying they’re no longer big enough to feel like Kaiju.
I had to leave OrcaCon a bit earlier than intended because I had a sudden onset of flu-like symptoms. Those symptoms have rapidly worsened. So if you hung out with me and you start to not feel well, get hydrated and take it easy. My apologies for possibly incubating a pathogen.
I want connectivity and not obligation or commitment. The moment it’s about a campaign that’s laid out over a specific number of scenarios where I will likely need to get the same group over and over I am probably out these days. Though I probably back to support anyway for you guys.
A lot of people up in arms about AI still posting their Spotify Wrappeds this year. Huh... weird.
I’ve seen a couple BGG threads where designers have gotten upset about house rules or player aids the community has made and I always find it baffling. I’ve been lucky enough to work on multiple games with active home brew communities and I love it!
