I remember learning about the Hays Code in film school and how it made it so that any amoral protagonist had to meet karmic justice by the end of the film and going “wow, that’s really silly” and then once a week I log online and see people argue that we need stuff like that now or it’s problematic

PANEL 1 NARRATOR THE MADALAN PILLAR A remnant of a past era, hollowed out to make room for the scavenging few. The apocalypse as we knew, it had already come and gone 300 years ago. (365 to be exact). PANEL 2 Another shot of the massive Eldritch flower hovering above the pillar. NARRATOR Our terrible end came to us in the form of an eldritch flower, large enough to plunge our entire sector into permanent shade.

I will be selling a new zine that is a preview of my next comic after NDE (thanks to all who are patiently waiting for the finish!!)! BLOOMKIN is a surreal queer dystopian horror about a disgraced cartographer forced to go on a dangerous expedition with a bitter ex.

shdg well to be fair i only write in the D&D journal DURING D&D (it's for IC/OOC notes); the reading journal only for recording book reviews/thoughts, and the weeks is usually just one quick line a day ...

im sad all the time mostly but especially so in march bc it is the month my dad died. he passed away on march 15th so i have to say that just, personally, for me, i don't love ides of march jokes either (not to proscribe them in any way; it's just not smth i do for this reason)

before starting to use their name directly (the highest form of affection from him), meridian called tal 'hálfviti' (idiot), but also 'elskan' (darling)

Four sketches of Wrathion from World of Warcraft, wow!!! Wrathion says, "I keep no secrets. You are welcome to accompany us, Anduin Wrynn." He examines his nails. "If your injury permits." There's a sketch beside that of Wrathion looking pouty while crossing his arms, and another below, where he looks affronted. "That's ridiculous. Why would you even play!?" he says.

Another four sketches of Wrathion from World of Warcraft. Wrathion says, "I have chosen the name Wrathion." I put two little blue and pink hearts beside the dialogue to indicate how trans coded this line is... The sketch below that is of him grinning, saying, "You aren't harbouring any bad thoughts, are you?" The last two sketches are of Wrathion as a dragon, and Wrathion wearing a binder, without his turban on, showing that he is a trans man. All the lines here are from the game!! I wanted to draw how I imagined him emoting during each of them.

Preliminary concept for the Cataclysm expansion of World of Warcraft featuring the dragon Deathwing emerging explosively from the ocean as waves rock the surface. Fire erupts white hot at its mouth, tapering to red and blue at its tip. Burning contrails arc like flares from the water. A massive billowing cloud of smoky orange builds in the background. Water drips from its wings as they spread wide colored like magma between structural ribs. A reptilian fin of the same orange runs underneath its stocky neck.

really trying to moisturize my hands/arms/etc this season and incidentally my elbows don't feel pebbly and my knuckles haven't split open, as usually happens in winter. perhaps a correlation

of cats as whimsically capricious and asocial, when ofc actual cats are very social creatures who want and need to be paid attn to and loved. drawing them otherwise enhances their fairytale mystery, which can indeed be sometimes exasperating

an aside but my fav review of this book so far is someone grumbling about the 'characterization' of the cats (which presents them as largely mischievous and selfish). i thought the cat characters were endearing but i do also think that 'cozy' authors in particular lean hard on the idea

OK i finished this and it really is just howl's moving castle with cats. like if you had uploaded this to Ao3 as a howl/sophie cat shelter AU i would not have blinked an eye. it was cute but also. ms fawcett. you need to work a little harder babe. some bits were more or less directly lifted!!

folks rightfully compared wendell in emily wilde to howl, but the characters in her new book are truly fully howl and sophie. like girl your whole career is making iterations of this one wizard man LMAO
