Aha! Yes! Thanks so much!! You are so incredibly kind!
( I mean-how do you know when positive and when negative?)
Thanks both! That makes perfect sense.. and yeah! I saw the mark scheme and thought: whaaaat?!! One last question please - why do you use negative e for the second collision?
#ALevelMaths dear lovely teachers-putting out further mech bat signal again-could someone help with finding the components in the second collision? Do I need to do projections? Thanks! @jrub.bsky.social @susanwhitehouse.bsky.social @over-drawn.bsky.social @themathsbazaar.bsky.social
@emilyrcwilson.bsky.social just listening to your translation of the Iliad- Hecuba’s plea to Hector moved me to tears- “ my baby boy” is what I call my 20 year old - my youngest-breasted till 2-Classics lover. Looking forward to your essay collection.
In #MathsToday. Marking help always welcome
Love all this! But also the word antiderivative - makes me feel heroic when I find it! 🙃
Thanks so much! This makes sense!
I think this is why I was getting mixed up!!! Phew! I think now it all makes sense!
Perfect! And agree! Thanks so much! Such a great community
Thanks! Either a+b or 180-a-b.
Oh- thanks! The other definition I had was (following your description) 180-A-B . I got confused with Q1 June 2012 M4 edexcel.
@ALevelMaths lovely teachers. In Further Maths mechanics- oblique collisions in 2D- I’ve found conflicting definitions of angle of deflection. Could someone clarify which angle do they want? Thanks! @susanwhitehouse.bsky.social @ecrmaths.bsky.social
I've made a Casio fx-CG100 guide for A Level Maths and Further Maths into a single video as well!

Just a reminder that if you are about to start teaching #ALevelMaths, this book is available from the Mathematical Association @mathematicala.bsky.social online shop. In my completely unbiased opinion, it's really quite useful.
FS1 teachers. Can you have a two tailed geometric distribution hypothesis test? I can't seem to see them in the edexcel textbook. Can someone clarify and maybe provide me with an example? @susanwhitehouse.bsky.social #ALevelMaths
My Casio fx-CG100 videos are almost complete.
Just further statistics left over.

Does anyone have a summary and examples of these graphs? It's from FP1?
I will be uploading a series on how to use the Casio fx-CG100 onto this playlist:

Thanks both! My college is getting us the cg-100 this year. Up until now I just used the 991 so a lot to learn!
Oh! This is so good! Thank you so much! You are very generous!
a level: modulus function - if time a venn diagram for stats taster. Further: complex numbers
I would really encourage as many people as possible to complain to Ofqual about the Edexcel Paper 2 (Pearson/Edexcel are in blanket denial of any wrong doing mode). You can either use the Ofqual email addresses given here, or use their website to complain. #MathsToday #ALevelMaths
Yes- thanks so much. We don’t have many who take exams but numbers are growing so getting to know the systems better. Your padlet is perfect.
This is so good! Many thanks for sharing!
Accidentally deleted my post 🙄
Here is the warm-up grid for Edexcel paper 2 #ALevelMaths
Two errors (so far) in the answers:
12a Normal should be y=4/3x-5/12
Q18: second value should be -9+6ln6
Thanks to @kerrydunton.bsky.social for sterling error-checking
