Ya know, when people said the first year of grad school is the hardest, this isnβt at all what I had in mind. π
Damn, itβs been a rough couple of weeks. Currently laying on ice because my back got fucked up in a car accident yesterday.
The image is a screenshot of a tweet from Anonymous (@YourAnonNews ). The tweet reads: "Not so shockingly, we have seen every one of these excuses in our mentions." Below the tweet, there is a four-panel meme featuring a person progressively applying clown makeup. In the first panel, the person has a bare face and the text reads, "He wonβt actually put up tariffs." In the second panel, the person has white face paint and a blue teardrop under one eye, with the text, "He is bluffing youβll see." In the third panel, the person has added red lipstick and a colorful wig, with the text, "It is a negotiating tactic." In the fourth panel, the person is fully dressed as a clown with a red nose, and the text reads, "These tariffs are good for America." The meme is credited to imgflip.com at the bottom.
The progression is an inevitable beclowning.
I wouldnβt have gotten where I am today if it werenβt for NIH-funded programs like K-INBRE and PREP. Now future Haskell students wonβt have the same opportunities. No more Bridges. No more IRACDA either.
Back on Seroquel. Dizzy af this morning. I feel like Iβm on a small boat in the ocean. WILSON! WILSOOOOOON! Itβs an antipsychotic, but is it anti-ing my psychotic? Only time will tell.
Federal funding for KU programs that enable Haskell and KU students to conduct scientific research, further their studies and launch their careers has suddenly been terminated.

I have to go back to work as usual today and go through all the usual motions of life as if nothing hugely traumatic and heartbreaking just happened last week. Life goes on for me but it ended for Korra. Thatβs fucked up.
My March reads- invested in the Cosmere.
I held Korra today as she died. I saw the life leave her eyes. Iβm never gonna recover from this.
My partner just gave me a high dose melatonin gummy. I hope this kicks in quickly. I donβt want to be awake anymore.
Nothing seems worth doing.
Life is so fleeting.
Today is my birthday. Yours is in two days. We should be turning 31 together but you will forever be 25. Wherever you are, I hope you know I think of you often. Continue to rest easy, friend.
Love getting violated by TSA. God bless America. π€’
Iβm definitely planning a reread because itβs been a loooong time since I read the first book!
You know what to do.

Useful tool to track the progress of Project 2025. Mostly posting this here for myself so I can find the link again. TW: itβs scary, avoid if you need to protect your mental health
This whole country wants bad things for others more than they want good things for themselves.
