In what may be the most unsurprising "news" ever reported, the California Supreme Court has rejected Tory Lanez's request that they review his convictions and 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

The attorney behind many social media addiction lawsuits got kicked off the steering committee for violating courthouse electronics policies, including w/ a courtroom selfie.

What prompted the judge's warning about no AI facial recognition glasses in the social media addiction jury trial courtroom?
Someone told plaintiff's lawyer Mark Lanier's team they were concerned Mark Zuckerberg's bodyguards were wearing facial recognition glasses.
The judge of course did not say what prompted her to say this, but I 100% promise you she did not just think of this on her own and decide to announce it in court.
Someone had to have complained to her about this.
The judge said absolutely no AI glasses with facial recognition can be worn in the courtroom.
If anyone has already used them to record jurors, βyou must delete it or you will be held in contempt of court.β
βThis is very serious,β Judge Kuhl said.
Could a tech loyalist identify social media addiction trial jurors by wearing artificial intelligence facial recognition glasses in court?
That appeared to be Judge Kuhlβs concern when she addressed the gallery before jurors returned from recess in Mark Zuckerbergβs testimony.
Mark Zuckerberg arrived at the Spring Street courthouse in downtown Los Angeles a few minutes ago to testify in the big social media addiction trial.
Iβll be in the courtroom for his testimony and will let you know how it goes.

Defense lawyer Nico LaHood got a little worked up in his cross-exam of a Texas ranger lieutenant today in the Uvalde school shooting trial and acknowledged it by saying "sustained" before the judge did here.
A Texas-style non-objection:
"He can lead all he wants, because I'm going to take care of it after a while."
The defense lawyers definitely talk more than the witnesses in cross, and no one seems to mind.
A very Texas moment today in the child endangerment trial over a school police officer's response to the May 2022 mass shooting in Uvalde.
An officer "takes a graze to his head ... and then they return fire, and they send that son of a bitch to hell, right?"
"Yes, sir."

For the record, I believe these hippies got the date wrong as someone on Threads pointed out.
There wasnβt a show in Spokane on Sept. 25, 2009, but there was one on Aug. 25, 2009. π
I saw Bob Weir and RatDog in concert in Spokane in 2009, and at the end a hippie on stage handed me this set list.
Probably my coolest concert experience.
