Trump promises to help civilians being murdered by a tyrant. He stood by when Israel murdered civilians in Gaza. His actions in Iran have now cost the deaths of over 1000 and the injury of over 5400 civilians, including many under 10-yr olds. And with the promise of more to come.

As journalists working today many of us are taught to recognise disinformation when we see it and fight back against it.

Unfortunately there are some who willingly seek it out and put it on their front pages. A disgrace to the profession.

Civilizations throughout history have had to deal with the consequences of a ruler who is a malignant aging despot sliding into dementia. I guess now it’s our turn.

Trump and Netanyahu claim that the Ayatollah Khameini has been killed. Where is the evidence? And even if true, what next? There are plenty of angry regime supporters who might rise up and take over. Or the country could descend into civil war. There is no clear strategy here.

If the United States is going to go around the world causing regime changes, we should practice here first.
