30 something years of writing some form of `ps -ax | grep appname` and while looking over what actually comes in procps I learn I could have just typed `pgrep appname` instead, and the output can be directly piped into other commands. 🤦♀️ its so much tidier too

As a child of the 80’s with a love of all things Ghostbusters and Nickelodeon I fully expected being slimed to be an every day part of life. Reality… I’ve been slimed by the kiddos a couple times, but most days I just get fuzzed. #lifewithcats

Beyond that most metrics are meaningless. I’m in the camp that believes it’s better to slow down and focus on the long term gains rather than trying to optimize for the now.

Last year at TrailblazerDx I injured my leg, and all the walking I did at the conference made it worse. I’m still not fully recovered. While working out tonight I realized one of my motivations was to be in better shape for #tdx25 in March. I don’t think I’ve ever trained for a conference 🤣🤣

This is misleading. The law only forces app stores and web hosts to stop distributing them. They could leave the service running if they wanted to. They don’t want to.

It’s far too early on this Monday morning to fight her for the chair. The appeal to logic failed. Apparently she doesn’t care that I need the chair to make the money that buys the food, treats, toys, litter, etc.. Oy, cats am I right?
A wider field view of Westerlund 1. A dense cluster of bright stars, each with six large and two small diffraction spikes, due to the telescope’s optics. They have a variety of sizes depending on their brightness and distance from us in the cluster, and different colours reflecting different types of star. Patches of billowing red gas can be seen in and around the cluster, lit up by the stars. Small stars in the cluster blend into a background of distant stars and galaxies on black.
