Scientists work to unravel mystery tick illness hitting Australians Thousands of Australians report suffering debilitating chronic symptoms after getting a tick bite. But their illness — and the cause of it — is still not well understood.

Tick-bite illnesses can be complex and debilitating. Are we any closer to understanding them?

This article from Australia’s ABC News highlights the work of Dr Richard Schloeffel who has been researching a group of people with ongoing symptoms linked to tick bites.
