Three years late and at 4am, the plaque honoring the officers who defended the Capitol was finally installed.
In the dark.
With no ceremony to honor the officers.
Republicans are cowards.

As Trump launches wars around the world, donβt forget Ukraine, which is hit by more shahed drones each week than any other Middle Eastern country has faced so far
*Everything* that flowed from the Patriot Act in the light of 9/11 needs to be held up. I say abolish ICE and resurrect INS, which was dedicated to regulation and management of human beings, not deportation and punishment of criminals.
This is so good! The whole thread.
Telling Jesus he'll never make it if he keeps being so hostile to wealth. Advising him to moderate his message to appeal to the Galilee suburbs
Under President Joe Biden the American economy never lost jobs.
92,000 jobs were lost just last month under Donald Trump's administration, the fourth time in just the last eight months.

Noem deserved to be fired. That is a win for the forces of the Constitution.
But the fact that Trump launched a war with the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism and then days into it fired his Homeland Security secretary is a level of reckless incompetence that should get him fired too.
No kidding.
Imagining the howls of anger and outrage if a President Hillary Clinton had said she bombed a country because of a feeling.
She would have been impeached in less than an hour.
Things are going to get real bad for The Jews if axiomatic hostility to Israel becomes the crowd pleasing Democrat position because the GOP successfully got the public to blame Israel for Holden Bloodfeast.

The βconflictβ in Iran *IS* a war.
It is a war of choice.
It is warfare without conscious.
It was unprovoked.
And Iβm sick and tired of people suggesting & implying the only tragedies herein are that US Service Members have died. The people of Iran are innocents in this conflict!
I would hope this for the Iranians. But there is no PLAN. The president "had a feeling." Bomb and "good luck" is the strategy. This is about as reliable to me as a Hamas ceasefire.
ME TOO

This is so offensive, and the reciprocal exploitation is gross. Christians who think Judaism is wrong but support Israel because...Revelation. Netanyahu, rolling his eyes and saying whatever, I don't respect you, but I'll take your $$ and arms.
Oh yes. I mean not in person, but multiple times. I am impressed by him.
Really disappointed that Jasmine Crockett didn't win the primary. I think we know why. I have nothing against Talarico but Crockett was better qualified, more experienced, and WAY more of a fighter. She needs to be in government.
Because voting for the Black Lady was just a bridge too far for these white folks.
Well, at least 1 out of these 3 havenβt gotten worse.
Haha! Theyβre throwing Vance under the bus.
This was a compelling read. Desperate for regime change. Terrified and distrustful of the process -- or lack thereof.
Sen. Ossoff Statement on Iran Atlanta, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff today released the following statement. "Eight months ago, Donald Trump lied to the country when he claimed U.S. air strikes had 'obliterated' Iran's nuclear program. "Now Trump says he's taken America to war for regime change in Iran. "Trump has launched this regime change war and put American forces at risk without presenting evidence of an imminent threat, without clear objectives, without having exhausted diplomacy, without a plan for the aftermath, and without the consent of Congress. "I oppose yet another regime change war-of-choice in the Middle East. Congress must convene immediately and pass a War Powers Resolution to assert our Constitutional authority over war and peace. "The President has presented no evidence that Iran or its nuclear program β which he falsely claimed to have 'obliterated' β pose an imminent threat to the United States, or that diplomacy was exhausted. Iran's support for terrorism and uranium enrichment have long destabilized the region. But sending American forces into harm's way should only ever be a last resort. "I pray for the safety of U.S. forces who have been ordered into battle and commend their extraordinary professionalism."
Ossoffβs statement is 1000x stronger than Schumer-Jeffries. This is a moderate Jewish Senator from a Trump state. The split isnβt moderate vs progressive, but leading vs poll-reacting
Seeing a lot of really happy ex-pat Iranians and Jewish friends over the moon over "regime change." Like: A new day! Freedom at last! My heart goes out to them, because they have a lot at stake. I just don't share their optimism. At all. Not least because there is no effing plan or follow through.
βIf Kamala wins, only death and destruction await because she is the candidate of endless wars. I am the candidate of peace. I am peace.β -

Yea. Like a ceasefire with Hamas. π«€
The Iranian govt has DEEP succession planning, supposedly 4-levels deep, for contingencies like this. I fear it will NOT be better for them. Historically, regime changes have worked where democracy was the underlying goal of the new regime. But I am rooting for these brave people.
Iranian govt media would not be credible. Not sure I would trust US government. I also can't believe they would target a school -- unless this is like what Hamas does, deliberately under-protect their own people for max propaganda.
What do you mean gutting it. The guy who runs it has a lot of gardening experience.
(Sorry, I just made it worse.)
