The “conflict“ in Iran *IS* a war.
It is a war of choice.
It is warfare without conscious.
It was unprovoked.
And I’m sick and tired of people suggesting & implying the only tragedies herein are that US Service Members have died. The people of Iran are innocents in this conflict!
I would hope this for the Iranians. But there is no PLAN. The president "had a feeling." Bomb and "good luck" is the strategy. This is about as reliable to me as a Hamas ceasefire.

Seeing a lot of really happy ex-pat Iranians and Jewish friends over the moon over "regime change." Like: A new day! Freedom at last! My heart goes out to them, because they have a lot at stake. I just don't share their optimism. At all. Not least because there is no effing plan or follow through.

The Iranian govt has DEEP succession planning, supposedly 4-levels deep, for contingencies like this. I fear it will NOT be better for them. Historically, regime changes have worked where democracy was the underlying goal of the new regime. But I am rooting for these brave people.
Iranian govt media would not be credible. Not sure I would trust US government. I also can't believe they would target a school -- unless this is like what Hamas does, deliberately under-protect their own people for max propaganda.
