Can someone in the #defold community explain what they like about the engine? I want to use it more but I find it challenging compared to #godot. I feel like I have to implement most things from scratch and while the documentation is great, there don't seem to be many resources outside of the docs.
Definitely true but I will classify this as a good problem to have because that means people actually played the game ๐

Yeah! That is exactly the idea. Currently I am doing 10 WPM = 1 point of stat increase but I'm still playing around with the feel. This is just one of the minigames. The game loop will be minigames to increase stats, stats then determine your monsters evolution path ๐. Thanks for the question!

I have definitely used an AnimationPlayer to call functions. I would say I tend to default to AnimationPlayer because it is much more powerful of a node.
I use both. Usually it depends on the specific sprite that I am using and how its set up.
More work on the upgrade system! Every level you can upgrade a stat or choose a new move. This makes each DreaMon feel unique and catered to your play style. #godot #indiedev #gamedev #solodev #montamer #indiegames #steam #indiegame

Seems like some people have success with discord. Another thing I have seen is finding youtubers who focus on your genre and trying to get them to make a video about your game. Unfortunately getting noticed is one of the hardest parts about indie dev...
