Political Parties Have Disconnected From the Public
Across the democratic world, the postwar era’s dominant parties face a populist insurgency.
Professor Daniel Schlozman’s book with Samuel Rosenfeld, The Hollow Parties: The Many Pasts and Disordered Present of American Party Politics, was quoted in The Atlantic. Check out the article here! www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1... @daschloz.bsky.social

Proud of my @poli-sci-jhu.bsky.social colleagues who hosted a series of convos w/ participants at Baltimore public libraries over the summer. Excellent example of how to engage as a scholar.
People wanted to talk about democracy, historical analogies to the current period, global precedents, etc..
