If a 27 year old woman was randomly killed on the streets of Capitol Hill by *anything* other than a motor vehicle it would be all over the front pages this morning. Cars are the thing that make me fear the most for my safety in this city and yet this is how the local paper of record responds.

I've had so many close calls here. Cars going south on 15th turn left at high speed onto Bayview or cars heading west on Bayview taking a left onto 15th - often without stopping.

A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a man biking on Beacon Hill shortly after midnight Sunday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department. He was 38. The suspect fled the scene and is still on the loose. Anyone with information should call SPD's Traffic Collision Investigation Squad at 206-684-8923 (incident number 2025-365188). couldn't agree more. there's nowhere in Seattle RRFBs are good replacement for a 4-way stop. I especially dislike them where greenway routes cross arterials. Drivers do not yield unless you aggressively step or roll into the road even with lights activated. and sometimes, they don't even stop.

If tiny cars are too dangerous to be allowed on our streets, think of how it feels to be a pedestrian or cyclist!
