Did you know Alberta gets more money from the Federal government than from bitumen? YES - transfers from the Canadian govt to AB.
Also, this isn’t counting the federal monies they’ve taken from AISH recipients 😡
True! The online version of my local is a hot mess, pretty sure there is zero incentive to create that kind of change at the community level. We can hope that people see how things are changing and learn how to spot mis/disinformation
With respect, lots of us have seen it for a long time. Welcome, and keep spreading the word. There are many more people who need to see the truth.
Rural AB here, this is 100% true. Then people ask why rural people vote the way they do, they have very few sources of balanced information. When credible sources are gone, what replaces them is often misinformation

Wilkie wins silver in the women’s para biathlon sprint standing event. It’s her EIGHTH Paralympic medal. One of Canada’s flag bearers for these Games. Outstanding.
The irony is that I don’t think trump is a real believer. He’s just using them to make money and try to stay out of jail. Also he has no sense of reality left.
Phrases like “I’ve been told,” “I hear,” or “people say” serve several purposes:
-Plausible deniability
-Signal amplification
-Dog whistling
-Test ballooning
-Deflecting
And it's just a whole lot easier than actually investigating the severity or sources of problems.

Not so. EA has significant enforcement powers under the Citizen Initiative Act (see Part 6) in relation to initiative votes.
