I do agree that some defcon seem undeserved though (as you say if they instantly lose it). I wonder if it could be revised to “winning the ball where the next touch is a team mate” and then reduce the threshold a bit.

I think it’s a great way of rewarding players who are good at a skill that has previously been not rewarded in fpl. It’s no surprise the same players get it regularly as which shows it’s not “luck”.
