Still wondering why that dude walked into the house party across the street carrying an inflatable doll under his arm.

You should never feel guilty for talking about books. The world is on fire, but we still need to educate and enrich ourselves. Books can make you a better person. Books are the answer. #BookSky

I love a Reuben. I prefer a sandwich grilled.

The US continues to prove it doesn't value other countries' lives and barely values US lives.

Sometimes, I wonder if the random people who I don't know and who show up in my dreams are the spirits of the dead out and about for a visit with the living.

They keep making it more and more complicated.

Though I prefer fiction, I respect and read nonfiction, and I loathe inaccurate historical fiction, the kind that makes people think the made-up parts are true.

There are two World Book Days. Today and April 23, 2026. Am I complaining? Why, no, I'm not. Every day should be #WorldBookDay

I'm a fan of both curiosity and skepticism.

Much of AI is basically an incompetent employee for which you have to double check their work, and it would've taken less time to do it yourself.

If I'm remembering right, there was a link to post offices on the page where it asked for ID.

You can also go to a participating post office instead of uploading, but I haven't looked into that. I assume they'll copy your ID and upload it for you.

I'm retired so am no longer in the loop for library services. I would suggest asking your local public librarian.

It's about time to decide which tomato plants will live and which will be snipped. #VegetableGardening

I have very low expectations for fake beer. To me it tasted like a Guinness draft that's either gone flat or wasn't poured right.

It's a change for 2026. I hadn't logged in since December 2025. The obsession with fraud and citizenship is just making things far too complicated.

Sister called complaining she couldn't get into her Medicare account without uploading a photo of her DL or passport. I tried and discovered I needed to use login dot gov with the password I use for SS and also must upload a photo even though SS lets me login without it and what the fuck.

It's called aluminum foil heavy-duty duct tape. So much better than traditional duct tape.

04.03.2026 23:34 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It's definitely duct tape.

I'm of the opinion that high end duct tape can fix just about anything. The kind that's shiny silver and has a peel off backing.

When I was a working librarian, I was part of the nice cool kids crowd, meaning we mentored and supported other library colleagues, especially those new to the profession. My contention is, if you're mean, you're not a cool kid.

Just like all computer programs have bugs, all books have typos.
