And today one of the businessy guys who business the business noticed that there was a correlation between people not having money because layoffs and stagnant wages and high prices ---- and a reduction in spending.
Sort of like to musicians: "Just get your stuff into a hit movie, I mean look what happened to Kate Bush with the Stranger Things and the Running Up That Hill stuff."
Ah to make music in the days when you could spend an advance on an interpretive dance degree, have one hit, and afford a castle.
And what happened to "for too long! We're going to have a public option! For too long! *pound pound* FOR TOO LONG!" on the campaign trail, only to be like "what's wrong with insurance companies?" once he won the election.

No he didn't. He made a perfornative gesture even his own side said "Joe, this isnt going to work, do this some other way that can't be blocked by the supreme court" and he went "nope, we're doing it this way so I can say I tried but still get thanks from the boys down on K-street"
We allowed our entire country to be bought by billionaires who stopped paying taxes, took away all the good jobs, and bribed the politicians in power to work against everyone else but them.
