Aw thank you, Bane-- I will! Ah totally agree! I hate the entire culture around tearing lgbt art/stories apart for totally arbitrary reasons. And yea, sometimes I feel like it’s damned if you do damned if you don’t, so I’m just going to tell my stories and the people that get it will like them haha
Thanks so much Zack! :) I love and welcome a good critique and discussion, but have less patience for getting stepped on because a story doesn't fit inside someones narrow box and expectations haha
I don't mean for any of this to come off aggressive and know that this story will of course won't be for everyone, but felt a need to put this out there.
The man turned Day-Walker. The Painter. The friend. And when he tells you, then yes, he's also the trans man fighting the Undead.
He knows himself and who he is. And so do those close to him. And if you follow his story then you get to learn about him too. That's the deal.
He is aloud to just exist solely as the friend trying to save his doomed best friend. The lost soul being terrorized by his captor. The son mourning the death of his mother. The boyfriend who's just been broken up with.
Ed doesn't owe you his backstory as a trans man just because he's a trans character in a comic. Just as a trans person in real life doesn't have to disclose that information to you.
