A little before and after of concept/idea -> finished.
I only planned on doing three, hope you liked them!
It is a part of the same process I use when doing timed photo studies. It took me a very very long time understand any of this stuff so don't worry about it :)
I have a folder clipped to the mask, colour on one layer, shadows, screen for reflected light, and overlay to colour the light. These are not suggestions it is just how I've been working lately
Line art. Simple. All I do is put them in a folder, set it to hard light, then clip a colour dodge layer to the folder to colour the lines.
More stuff on top. All I'm really trying to do at this point is make the picture look good and finished

Thanks! It's really just a bunch of layers and a lot of time. For this one I didn't decide until very late into process what I was going to do with the lighting, which is not something I recommend lol.
As an example these are most of the layers after the sketch is finished (I start with the lines)
