Today we were off for #LunarNewYear and had friends over for a play date. One of our activities was to create these maneki-neko paper circuits to bring good luck and fortune 🧧🎍🎊😺

I love when my hobbies & passions connect w/ what I do everyday. I love to draw & created an example of a paper circuits activity that will be a choice when I visit a class at Dows Lane next week. We’ll be using the LEDs Kit I developed, #Ozobot, & #3Doodler for #GlobalSchoolPlayDay #IrvingtonUFSD

If you haven’t heard, cookie season has begun for many Girl Scouts, so we needed to make our daughter’s video for her Digital Cookie page. We used telepromptermirror.com, #AdobeExpress and @wevideo.bsky.social to achieve all the elements she wanted! We app smash at school AND home 😎

This week our MS teachers whose classes are tied to the NYS CBT engaged in a @castlelearning.bsky.social training session w/ Shamika from #LHRIC It was the overview & refresher our teachers needed to give students an opportunity to engage w/ a platform that emulates the exam. Thank you!

Students in Ms. Meiseles’ 6th Grade Student Skills class completed an activity where they examined their home study environment for what was & wasn’t working. They created a visual floor plan on a #Canva whiteboard to accompany their written work and presented to the class. #IrvingtonUFSD

It’s time to #3Dprint more Clippies on my #Prusa3D printer. My stash is low 😂 These are printed backwards so the front face is the smoothest. Next I’ll try these on a holographic p-flat 🤩

Brought home a few @microbit.org for my 5 and 8 year olds to play with during the holiday break. We all did the Pet Hamster tutorial together and I showed how you can customize it. We made a pet kitty! So fun!

It’s been a great #CSEdWeek at #IrvingtonUFSD ! Mrs. Cassidy & I ran #HourofCode during lunch on Tues w/ a choice board. Kids loved #turingtumble & @microbit.org I co-taught unplugged coding & Micro:bit in 6th grade student skills w/ our LMS Mrs. Richardson. Chris Keitel from #Google also visited.
