My Severance Hall debut performing my Gusty Garden Galaxy piano cadenza with The Video Game Symphony. It was quite a thrill!
The piece begins with a simple and charming melody that develops nicely into the middle waltz section a la Chopin or Liszt. After a welcomed recapitulation we're treated to a brief respite by the calming and dreamy coda, only to be woken up by the final emphatic chord. It's quite the journey!
