- Do the chemical properties of snail slime change according to direction of travel
Also hoping the snails get to live!
I am very curious about this project! Probably classified so I'm going to guess:
- Investigating the chemical properties of snail slime & and its healing potential?
- Chemical communication between snails to signal reproductive status?

Adorable little menace!
Aargh!! I'd imagine that's all the more frustrating for being avoidable.
Was that the cause of Stella chewing your bag?
Sometimes, on my way to work & approaching my stop I would want to stay on the bus/train and just keep going and going. Tended to happen when I was exhausted & usually also depressed.
I saw the pic before your tweet about getting it done and assumed you'd always had it! It does look very you x
Really suits you!!
I don't think I ever have good dreams π
This wasn't particularly scary though. Vague recollection of working in a team trying to decode the MU & not realising it was inaccurate.
Probably another metaphor thereπ
& also hire a locum if she's off for a long time.
Keyworker should also have been more proactive, but if there is still no contact after you telling the duty worker that you're not OK, I think they're in negligence territory.
I'm sorry they're being so shit, you deserve better x
*restrains self from swearing* That is truly terrible!! It would be terrible even if you hadn't just been in hosp. But what a way to (not) treat someone who's trying to get back into the swing of ordinary life.
OFC the OT can't help being ill, but the team should have called/kept you posted >
I have a vague recollection that nice toiletries are appreciated - things which feel pampering but don't need shedloads of time like a good moisturiser/hand cream etc. That's more for just after the birth though.
I suggested maybe the other question is whether it stops me living a normal life & he agreed. Ultimately only you can judge for yourself, but I'm guessing, with health related Googling, how long you spend, what it does to your anxiety and whether your Dr has given you info are worth considering π€
Just listening back to a previous session and found something which might help. I posed the question "is behaviour X really so silly" & the therapist replied : that's not the question. The question is what is this doing to my OCD, is it making it grow, shrink or not having an impact. > #OCDTalkHour
I think they do, yes. As do lynx and bears. Are there any bears in Europe?
I think this is part/all of the reason badgers have evolved their strong bite - for self defence against predators.
I tend to think of them as basically apex predators with a prey mindset (aka massive wussesπ)
It was. I just went to the end of the line and then got a taxi instead. Pricey, but that's what PIP is for!

Takeaway was my immediate thought!
Not sure I'd be much use to you RN. Just completely missed my train stopπ€¦ββοΈ
I reckon RTA risk probably makes a big difference to lifespan. Sadly we have several fast roads near us though.
Summer 2020.
One study estimated/calculated (not sure how sure they can be) that 80% of badgers within a particular population were 4 years or less.
It's been a pretty brutal year, losing both Bobby & Emma & now having none of our original crew left.
Sadly their lives are hard and not v lon, so this may not be atypical π
Jeez, that is really useless!!
Sorry, I'm having a bit of a brain blank. Are they not giving you regular support? I know you've seen/are waiting for the OT & I guess I just assumed that was adjunct to something. They really SHOULD be giving you regular support after hosp d/c surely?
Thank you. Feeling a little heartbroken, but the worst possible situation is that he's out there and suffering, so there is that...
I don't do it regularly, bit I've done a few courses and written a bit of poetry on my own.
It's all academic now, because I saw the badger I thought was Bobby in the fur last night & it wasn't him. So back to thinking he's probably diedπ
That's not chicken, that's sensible! Badgers aren't aggressive, except to worms and each other(!) but tangling with a a trapped and frightened badger could cause a very nasty injury.
It was particularly so with Emma (in my profile pic). Temperamentally the boldest of all our stripey visitors she would come running right to the door. It actually helped my obsessional lock checking as I didnβt want to over-feed or over-domesticate her but she was also v v hard to resist!
No worries, will ask therapist and report back!!
Things I find at work.
I'm listening to another one of hers - The Lifeline. Enjoying it!
