'From Gardens Where We Feel Secure' was released on this day in July 1983. Virginia Astley's debut album, it was pieced together by Virginia and Russell Webb over a seven week period in 1982.
The album was released on Virginia's own Happy Valley label and distributed by Rough Trade.
Released in April 1992, 'All Shall Be Well' marked Virginia Astley's follow up album to 1986's 'Hope In A Darkened Heart'.
The album featured musical contributions from Kate St John, Anthony Coote and Virginia's 4-year-old daughter Florence.
'Some Small Hope' was released as a single on this day in February 1987. The track also features on Virginia Astley's 1986 album 'Hope In A Darkened Heart'. Production was handled by Ryuichi Sakamoto (Yellow Magic Orchestra).
