Fantastic place for a beer!

I can vouch for most of those beers based on experience; would love to find Ripple Effect in the wild!

A few pints of Goff's Vanilla Stout in The Alma, watching Scotland beat France in the Six Nations. Stunning work all round! The vanilla is subtle in this, supporting the main act rather than stealing the limelight. Great beer.

I love Arbor. Did you ever have the Harbour/ Arbor Collab? A few years back, they called it "Harbor" I think.

From Asda if you have one nearby. Their range has very much improved. I'm pleased to see less reliance on a certain ailing faux-rebel Scottish brewery!

I always have a soft spot for St Austell beers, one of my old local breweries.

Kirkstall Cherry and Chocolate Stout. Dark cherry sourness rounded off by milk chocolatey sweetness. Nice.

Probably my last of the evening, again via Asda. I've shared this before, but it's so rare nowadays for me to find Harbour beers in the wild that I thought I'd do so again. West Coast DIPA, I forgot it's 8%.

I've had a similar thought re Asda today, their beer range was much better than I expected based on past experience.

From Salt, "Serge" Citra IPA. A really cracking beer, bags of citrus and freshness. Quality brew via Asda's 4 for 3 offer.

Ah, now this is bloody lovely. From The Union, @thornbridge.bsky.social Imperial Stout. Get the temperature right for best enjoyment. Coffee and dark chocolate as you'd expect, and I'm fairly sure I can pick out the Union's rounded smoothness.

The last of my beers from @8sailbrewery.bsky.social , and I can't recommend the brewery enough. Every beer has been top quality, blending innovation with tradition and serving it in a pint bottle.
"Golden Dawn" English Pale is decent up front, closing with playful blackcurrant for the win.
