It's time to stop trashing our air! @councilmemberjg.bsky.social has introduced an amendment that would stop Philly's trash from being sent to the Incinerator in Chester and instead would be sent to the landfill.

The stateβs Environmental Quality Board just voted to study a proposal to increase minimum distances between new natural gas drilling pads and homes, schools, hospitals, and water bodies, with setbacks moving from 500 feet to up to 1 mile in some cases.
