The Trump administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has failed to meet a Feb. 7 deadline to designate areas in violation of the strengthened 2024 national air quality standard for soot, as required under the Clean Air Act.

It's time to stop trashing our air! @councilmemberjg.bsky.social has introduced an amendment that would stop Philly's trash from being sent to the Incinerator in Chester and instead would be sent to the landfill.

The state’s Environmental Quality Board just voted to study a proposal to increase minimum distances between new natural gas drilling pads and homes, schools, hospitals, and water bodies, with setbacks moving from 500 feet to up to 1 mile in some cases.
