First post of the year. The Harrison Mixbus 10 GUI is shockingly horrible. UN to the IN of my STALL. Not recommended.

I think it’s a great upgrade! Grabbed it day one. Some of the additions were exactly what I was hoping for.

Replace music with podcasts and this where we are heading /already are too.

People have been talking about not needing 3rd party plugins because the built-in plugins in your DAW are good enough. I don't disagree! HOWEVER, those don't travel from DAW to DAW w/you. I'm often on Pro Tools,then Reaper,then Cubase.. whatever the job calls for. I need my plugins to move with me.

bx_opto is old, infrequently updated, and the GUI is pretty low rez BUT I use it DAILY. Excellent on voices, especially in live production when you might need some wiggle room for unexpected loudness. Great at taming transients & wildly diverse audio levels while remaining impressively transparent.

Playing with the Boz #Transgressor 3 today. A #transientdesigner with a sep. EQ for the Transient and Sustain parts of the signal. It's fast to get results. Been using this since it came out and haven't my other t. designers since. Great for drums and loops. #audio #plugins

Loudness target? For voices, if you compress well then apply one of these free tools after compression and before limiting, it'll help you hit your loudness targets pretty quickly. Goodhertz Loudness also has some great spacial balancing tools. #audioplugins #podcasting #streaming #radio

I didn't need another comp (I have an embarrassing 92 installed) but was playing with the Softube Opto (on sale) today and it sounded great. Compared to other vintage styled comps: Softube has built-in gain compensation to hit loudness targets. It's a pretty great time saver. Recommended.
