Lawyers assigned to represent protesters were detained.
Izmir Bar Association leaders found no one at court to present their objections. They taped their documents to the court’s door (their photo).
Turkish people do not have much to lose at this point-the youth especially, have everything to gain back. If they can persevere, they can stop the dictatorship in its final attempts to dismantle whatever left of the Turkish democracy in practice.
NEW: Erdogan has banned protests in Turkey. He has threatened to arrest anyone attending one.
