Today's (long overdue) paper spotlight actually comes from us! This review is a great place to start if you want to understand spontaneous activity in the cochlea! Definitely worth a read, even if it's just to look at the cute cartoons :)

Around 90 million children and adolescents live with hearing loss. Globally, 1.5 billion people are affected, including 430 million with disabling hearing loss. Without action, this could rise to 2.5 billion by 2050.(www.who.int, World Report on Hearing 2021)
