I grow things. Always have, always will. Currently growing and breeding mainly tomatoes, corn and apples way up north with a bunch of cats, dogs and geese. Also pottery & poetry often fall out of me. Neither my brain nor body obey cultural norms. π¨π¦

A huge white dog with her head on her owner's hand, stretched out longer than the pair of sweatpants-clad legs next to her.
Sometimes we all need a snuggle.

A snowy semi-wooded scene with some very healthy deer hanging out not far away
A stripey buff-and-red striped mug with a black-and-copper glaze on the rim and an ear-shaped handle
A pile of a dozen buff-and-red striped mugs at the bisque stage, not yet glazed. Manta have ear or curl-shaped handles
Grey-and-brown striped freshly-thrown mug bodies, still wet and not yet handled
Garden season definitely over, pottery season begins again. Reskilling by throwing a bunch of agateware for a studio fundraiser. This new handle shape is excellent.

A group of roughly 9 unfinished mugs in a ceramics studio, waiting for handles. Some are roughly bell beaker shape while two have a double-bump, waisted form.
Got some bell beaker and double bump mugs coming along. Coming back after a summer of gardening, slowly.

Hard to photograph the rainbow mugs,I guess they want a video and spinning.
Clay is M370. Shape is 14th century inspired.

Suspect I'm too autistic to use this advice; between "a picture is worth a thousand words" and everyone noticing different things in pictures it's hard for me. Bonus of alt text is that I can steer attention, but it definitely does lose a ton of contextual detail. To do correctly I'd write pages.
A mug with woodgrain carving, the word resist carved into a knothole.
A handmade pottery mug in my hand that reads YOU SHOULD SMILE MORE and has a black jack-oβ-lantern face. The photo is black and white.

An orange cat and a black cat cuddled together next to a blanketed human
Too unwell to get out of bed today except for the bathroom. My cats were helping me rest but they went outside for a break. The air coming in the windows smells like it's going to rain.

This seems useful
A giant pot outside on a propane ring full of onions, carrots, celery, water, and seven rooster carcasses.
A big 18-jar canner outdoors on a propane ring, gathering pressure

Every moment today is a prayer: let everyone have this abundance. Let all regimes complicit in starving people crumble. Let everyone live and heal

So so much.
Oh! That's hopeful! Last I saw Morgan, that was pretty much the right shape!
I have been blessed beyond belief by the cat distribution system. ππππ
A long box pickup truck with all eight feet of box fully loaded with tarped poultry crates, the crates mostly full of donated roosters for a year's supply of meat.
An orange cat pancakes contentedly on a pair of blanket-clad legs resting on a bed.
An orange cat nestles on a contented-looking human's chest, perhaps asleep.
I've been ultra overcapacity, and will continue to be next week. Last week was drs appts, this week was loading the roostermobile for butcher, next week is animals to the vet. I'm very lucky Siri is there to keep me in bed otherwise. It would be lonely and awful otherwise.

Figures that after this I'd go getting starry-eyed about the ready to sew Harper bloomers. I guess one nice thing about being on disability is I can kinda just wear dresses all the time.
Sadly adding steps doesn't help me much either. I figure it's like anything else: sometimes my accommodation needs don't fit into specific spaces.
Yeah, most of my life I relied on hips being bigger than waist, so the waist just could not slide down, and the legs and hips could be nice and loose and the waistband kinda slide up and down to accommodate the sitting/standing changes to my waist. So that probably is a difference.
I'm just not sure trousers will actually stay up on this shape! I wish I had the brain wherewithal to do the coquelicot skirt in Velcro, I feel like that would if nothing else allow me some flexibility.
A field full of white daisy-looking flowers, actually scentless chamomile, with the sun setting in a wash of warm light over it and dark conifers silhouetted against the bright sky
Been having serious trouble cognitively so no alt text, so no pictures. Sigh.
Size changes I think I could handle, but going from much bigger hips and smaller waist to larger waist and smaller hips I can't even figure out... Like, can I wear pants anymore at all? Maybe not? Luckily I'm kinda trending towards "a couple rectangles with some gores and a gusset" single garments
I think this is the thing I'm mosr unhappy about with the significant change of my body shape -- not the size change but the proportion change that throws all my old drug way off
A big cauldron of streaming water full of white cloth. The water is yellowish.
A big cauldron full of sudsy water. The water is distinctly yellow.
A large pot full of white flowers with yellow centers -- scentless chamomile.
A pot full of wilted white flowers with yellow centers simmered in water and wilty
Scouring cotton shirts (white cotton really is as gross as they say), picking scentless chamomile flowers, and simmering them. Then tannin and alum, then dyeing.
I like working with linen way better but this was an experiment.

I'm mostly ok with "people being wrong on the Internet" EXCEPT folks who share suicide hotline memes without fact checking them. Someone fighting to live may have only enough energy to make one call, and if they're taking that number from your post it better be accurate. Your false info can kill.
However Demon just isn't having the crate. I think partly because he isn't treat motivated.
Learning positive reinforcement etc to handle the animals is also kind of reparenting myself, and also is an excellent way of feeling humble and part of my animals as a family rather than just frustrated and impotent in charge. It helps that the LGDs do the same to me, those are smart cookies.
An orange cat in a cat carrier, the door open, while a black cat waits outside the carrier for his chance to get in
I'm always very grateful to my past self for making crates exciting snack sources for several weeks a year kinda randomly. It makes getting the cats to the vet so much easier, they line up to go in. Except Demon, who's a problem.
