Made a birthday gift for my friend, making little perler bead versions of her #FieldsOfMistria character and her favorite romance choice, March.
Took a risk with a new medium but it was a great deal of fun!

His hands are a mix of humanoid and bird talons, and he is missing his right pinky finger. He wears a white veil the covers his face completely, tied by gold chains to a set of deer horns on his head. He wears a tight black shirt, a gold bracelet, and a short sand-colored sarong patterned after tandikan tail feathers. His legs are full bird fit, with a few gold bangles on his ankles and a toe ring.

Friend commissioned me to help design her new TTRPG character (for the Gubat Banwa system), really fun painting exercise. When I heard he was a birdfolk I worried the feathers are gonna be a challenge, but the legs wound up being surprisingly tough.

Yeah, unfortunatly those type of people are common in Israel. And in a very terrifying way, that is considered a more "left leaning" view compared to what the center and right actively advocate for.

I see, makes sense! When resources are limited I can understand how it can become a problem. Recently playing a lot of "Fields of Mistria" so in the nature of farming sims the resources are bound to be farmable so no harm in wasting. Happy to read your insight, hope new system steers you right!

If I recall correctly from the demo, the gods have departments: What if gift giving counts as donating to the department/village/business (depending if mortal or divine". Make the act always an objective progress on one metric, with ability to synergize with another. Hope it at least sparks an idea!

Good luck, not an easy problem to tackle! Your test results brought a thought to mind - feel free to ignore if inapplicable/already tested: Does gift giving only have to progress one thing? If it progresses some other metric related to the character, it could reframe gift giving beyond relationships

Unfortunately I joined late into production so they are charging ahead l to reach release deadlines 😅 But yes, I do think that the potential gems are worth it. So long as you don't see it as your failure in pursuing a failure - its all good. The failure was always there, you just dug it up.

I come from a background of concept art and character designs so I am coming into ideas expecting them to be cut/fail. But I get it. You put passion into something and it wilts - it can be sad, but I remember the cycle of life in those moments. What dies enriches the soil and feed the future.
