im grabbing your hand to tell you. it’s not too late to start wearing a mask again. it’s better to wear a mask 1/4 of the time (or whatever your percent looks like) than not at all. there’s no shame in starting to be covid safe again even if you havent been for a long time. its okay
coyote lay under the wet trees in dry needle bed all curled up warm, and the boughs block the rain from finding coyote. sneaking droplets hit an already damp but slow-drying pelt, and coyote falls asleep

Pastblast: "Close Encounters of the Furred Kind" was a gouache painting pre-1995, part of the print lineup we were sending to conventions back then. Randy is startled to discover ET cousins, and the foxy arrivals in their glowing spaceship are less than thrilled to be found out.
a series of digital painting color sketch thumbnails i did at least a couple years ago (?) and had arranged to look a little bit like a photo of a film strip i saw. the images show snowy or forested and mostly-colorless scenes, primarily pnw-themed. the first full image is referenced from a well known photograph of a car driving on a highway between towering pines. in between the thumbnails, where tiny orange text is usually printed, i think aboug the type of film? not sure, but instead of standard info is the sentence “cut loose the anchor or be dragged down” referencing my focus on moving forward into a new chapter at the time
