It's absolutely surreal how no one is talking about the Iran war in daily life. No one is discussing it and they seem oblivious. This conflict is spiraling and deteriorating in a way that it will substantially disrupt daily life for most of the world for the first time in decades.

does anyone else feel really sad that so many people are going to die and there’s no glory to any of it and the names of the dead will not be remembered except a few soldiers and resistance fighters and political leaders and a select few everyday people?

Transgender People, “Gay Conversion,” and “Lesbian Extinction”: What the Data Show A couple days ago (on Christmas, actually), The Telegraph ran a piece with the provocative title: “Lesbians facing ‘extinction’ as…

since The Atlantic is apparently reviving the "a was a feminine gay child, but if I was a kid today they would have 'transed' me" trope, here's an essay I wrote back in 2020 explaining why this is not true & there is no evidence to support it: juliaserano.medium.com/transgender-...

I had someone on the apps tell me today they were sorry that I was disabled, and I had another guy ask me if "it worked" because he was "just curious". Dating (apps) while disabled is hard because you run up against the same ableism again and again, with no regard for your humanity at all.

That's such trash behavior. I am so sorry, Andrew. I hope you have some amazing interactions/encounters that drown these ableist ones out. ✨️❤️

I became Senior VP at a multi-million dollar company at age 26. My salary was $600k. This was in 2018.
How did I do it?

Blacked out lines

CEO (my dad) promoted me to SVP.
There are no gimmicks. There are no shortcuts.

Ending this operation is not enough.

We need justice and accountability. That starts with independent investigations into the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, economic restitution for businesses impacted, abolishing ICE, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.

Fascists are going to lose.

That's what fascists do. It's who they are. Losers.

Casting your lot with fascist losers makes you a fascist loser, too. It's the transitive property of fascist losers.

When the head fascist loses again, anyone who cast their lot with him are gonna learn that quick.

Does anyone have any idea how we break the echo chambers? No Trump voter in my family will ever know what actually happened to Alex Pretti or Renee Good. They will believe the officers were justified. They will watch Fox News and that will be the end of it.
