Trump et al got where they are, are doing what they're doing, by playing on the myth of "the corrupt inefficient government", when the reality is that the vast majority of the government is (was?) doing a great job and serving its country faithfully. In part by acting as a check on plutocracy.
I agree. It's more important than ever to distinguish between the good parts of the government (which Trump is trying to eradicate, and protect our food, water, health, etc., not to mention the rule of law), and the small set of GOP who are trying to destroy the government from the inside.
